Details of Previous Updates

Below are the updates which I used to have posted on the main page. I have moved them as they were starting to make the file become a bit too large.

7 Apr 2006: I have updated the Luke Bulmer family tree after having received information about Elizabeth Bulmer born 1791 at Rillington, daughter of Luke Bulmer and Elizabeth Wilks. It turns out that she married, and so some of her descendants are now listed.

13 Sep 2005: I have finally got around to updating a pedigree, more might follow soon. It is the small My Cole Family pedigree. I have had the information for quite a while, but I have finally updated my file, and hence this site. The main change is that The addinall relatives has been updated with more names, and sources and burial dates in particular.

22 May 2005: I have just added a small pedigree of Irene Elizabeth Statham It is likely to be added too over the summer, so watch the pages!

29 March 2005: Hello I have just updated the Bentall Pedigree of York and Essex. In doing so, I have reduced the number of sidelines which are distantly related, in particular, the Geldart and Micklethwaite families, who were related a long way back via a few in-laws etc. I have added those families as well. Click here to view this new Pedigree. This also includes the Benson of York and Coates of Easingwold. This particular Benson familiy might tie in with the Benson family who are related to the Bulmer Family in York, but I have my doubts, so I have left them separate, rather than risk making false connections.

22 March 2005: Hello! I have just updated the pedigree of my Great Grandfather Tom Lolley born 9 May 1889 at Elvington Near York, Yorkshire, England. There is only a slight difference to the previous version, but it was necessary to update it. There may well be further changes to this pedigree coming soon, probably in the summer months; so watch this space :)

You will also find a correction that has come to my attention. Follow the links provided to find out what was wrong, and where the correct information can be found.

I have added a new family tree, about the Weadley and Dalton Families of York, Yorkshire, England, and how some of the Daltons emmigrated to South Africa. Also some of the Weadley's emmigrated to the USA.

If you have had, or are expecting to have, twins or higher multiple births in the next few months, please take a look at the following site. There is a questionaire on there which a friend would like you to fill out, to assist her with a study on multiple births and factors that are common amongst multiples such as low birth weights, premature births and fertility treatment to see what influences they have on a childs' health and development. If you can find the time to fill in the questionnaire, then please do. www.freewebs.com/twice-the-fun/

17 Nov 2004: I have just updated the Leaf Family of Brompton By Sawdon and York pedigree. More updates may be coming soon, probably in the next month or so, as there are more ancestral Leaves to add to the tree :) I have also added the Beswick Branch to the Leaf Pedigree.

11 Nov 2004: I have posted a reply to a set of emails received yesterday and today from Margaret Lynnes about the Bulmer family. I cannot get a reply through successfully at the moment, so I have resorted to putting my reply on my site. Click here to view it.

If you are interested in Lego, especially the Technic Lego varieties, then Click here to view a small website dedicated to publishing my Technic Lego Models, and other such stuff. The site has only just been built, so there is not much on, but hopefully this will change soon. - 7 Oct 2004

I have just added the Leaf Family of Brompton By Sawdon and York pedigree. More updates may be coming soon. 23 Sep 2004

The following few paragraphs are information which does no longer need to be on my main page:

4 Oct 2003: I have added a new pedigree about the Bean family of York, and how one of them moved over to Australia.

Late July 2003: I have updated all the pedigree charts, and included the dates of the updates next to the links.

21 July 2003: I have added a new pedigree relating to the Weadley Family of Yorkshire. Though the people are already on my site, I thought a smaller pedigree dedicated to this rare name would be easier to peruse.

24 Jun 2003: I have finished moving house, and am back online. I will try to answer queries quickly, but there is still quite a bit to do in the new house. Enjoy searching.

21 Apr 2003: Welcome to my new family history site. It has been a while since I last updated this site, but now I have had some time spare to do so. So far, only the main file has been updated, but the other pedigrees listed below will be updated soon, if I succeed in managing my time well.

Oct 2002: I have added The Layng family in to the Bulmer file, but not my main file. I am going to do a bit more research on it first before I add it to the main file. It is the family of William Wright Layng, his ancestors and descendants, and is very well sourced :)

11 Nov 2002: I am rather busy at the moment, so I have not updated these files as yet. If you email me then I should be able to answer within the same day, or the following day, and I will be happy to help, but I am not as such carrying out active research of my own, I simply do not have the time. However, this does not mean that I will not bother responding to your queries, I will be happy too.

Happy Researching :)

The only major change to the site is the inclusion of the new Pedigrees which you can find listed below. I am intending on updating the main file, which includes everyone [except the Bulmer line] soon. The Bulmer pedigree has been updated now. - 19 Sep 2002. 7 Jan 2003: I have added the small pedigree of Luke Bulmer born 1824 at Rillington Cum Scampston, Yorkshire. It goes back to about 1568 in the Kirby Grindalythe area, and there are a few of us who are hoping to find a connection with the much larger Bulmer family tree which is also visible on this site.

These files are of 24 July 2002. I hope to do updates every month or so, unless some major breakthroughs occur, or I come across huge amounts of information that need to be put on.

Families that have seen major changes since 2 July 2002:

  • Bean Family of York. This family is the one which contains Susan Bean Born Middlesex, London, 1858. A great Great Granddaughter of Susan's Sister Clara has got in touch with me and told me that the family is actually from York which makes things a lot easier. Hence look at Susan to get her ancestry.
  • Savage family of Escrick. Formerly I had a Miss Savage born circa 1652, who I have now been able to discover came from the village next door, ie Escrick. Miss savage is actually Mary Savage born 1648 at Escrick, and you can find her parents and siblings with her now.

  • Families that have seen major changes since 25 May 2002:

  • Allanson family of York. I have been able to locate more proper dates for them, rather than the approximations I had used before. Fortunately my guesses were fairly accurate. Other families who are related to the Allanson's: Coulton, Tancred, Thompson, Lodge of York and Leeds, not the Essex Lodge's; Jacques of York and the Chaytors of Spennisthorne. The Chaytors may be related to the Chaytors mentioned in the Bulmer family of York and Yorkshire 1900 -1100 which has also been updated today, but I cannot find a link just yet.
  • Boynton family of York. more siblings added, and a mother's full name now.
  • Dixon family of Gamston By East Retford. More siblings added.
  • Viney Foster and Family of Scarbrough. Still intrigued as to where the name Viney came from, but it has gone back 2 more generations.

Families that have seen major changes since the 25 April 2002:

  • Addinall family of York - 7 Generations added, plus lots of siblings etc.
  • Prest Family of Pickhill Cum Roxby, Yorkshire.
  • The Woolmer family of Essex, along with the families of Gentry, Cook, Humphry, Carter, Lamb, Crabb, Hodge, Turner, Green and Sorrell, all of Essex, and related to the Woolmers.
  • Dawson family of Little Ouseburn, which links in to the Coupland Ancestry. Some More clarification needed on the ancestral lines.
  • Other families with minor changes: Briggs, Cariss, Brodie
  • Smith of Easingwold
  • Coates of Easingwold
  • Crawford of Easingwold.
  • Bell family of North Otterington, one of my direct lines.
  • Dowsland Family of Sherburn Nr Scarborough, which is part of the Leaf Ancestry
  • Parvins of Leeds added (all of them now!)
  • Wrightson's of Easingwold/Thirsk. I have found siblings for my main Ancestors for this line
  • Most of the changes are siblings found where there has previously been one child or no children to a marriage.
All in all there are 538 new people on file since the end of April.

Families that have seen major changes since the Last update in March:

  • Durhams of Hemingbrough
  • Parvins of Leeds added (though not all of them!)
  • Milners of Hemingbrough and Easingwold (These are two unconnected families at the moment, but perhaps they might meet up at some point).

  • This takes you back to my main page
