Joseph Bulmer-1930

This family lived at two different addresses in the 1871 Census. First they were living at Cross Court, Redeness St, York. The other address was 21, Layerthorpe, York. Joseph Senior was a Lamplighter for a while.

This Joseph Bulmer was made a Freeman of the City of York on the 19 Jul 1863.
He was a Bricklayer and lived in the Layerthorpe area of York.

Adelaide Maria Bulmer-1953

She became a member of the Salem Chapel Congregationalist church on the 6th October 1898. She was member number 938, and lived at 24 Bishopgate, York, at the time. The notes also say that she was married, but the name of the husband had never been entered. Instead it said 'married name wanted.'
Her name was given as Adela Bulmer. No Parentage was given, indeed it never was given in the records of Salem chapel if an adult had joined.

William Bulmer-1911

William was given the freedom of the City of York on the 24 may 1897.
He was living at 46 Hampden St, York at the time and was a joiner.


Edwin Bulmer-1931

Edwin was buried in the York Cemetary, grave No. 12048. register No. 38589


Joseph Bulmer-1912

Joseph's parents were living at 33 Redeness St when Joseph was born.
!He lived at 46, Hampden St in 1863.
!Joseph was given the Freedom of the City of York on the 25 jun 1888
!He was living at 12 Hampden St at the time, and later moved to the suburb of
Bishopthorpe where he set up a Butchers shop, In a house called Stanley House.
!Later he moved to 169 Poppleton Rd, and later worked at the Carriage works
of British Rail.
!He died before 1952.
I have a marriage for a Joseph Bulmer, who might descend from this Joseph Bulmer, but I am not certain as yet (17 Oct 2001):

Charlotte was born in Wigginton, and was a domestic nurse.


Peter Bulmer Rev-1915

He was the Vicar of the Parish of Thorpe St Peter in Lincolnshire where he and his wife Hannah had 6 children. Not sure if they later moved up to york again though.


Thomas Mark-1975

Thomas was a grocer.


John Allanson Bulmer-1936

He was a Grocer of Haymarket, York. He was Chamberlain of the City of York in 1822. He received the Freedom of the City of York in 1813.


John Thompson-1941

John was a Merchant.


William Sawyer Rev-1942

William was the clerk of the Parish of Islington, Middlesex at the time of his marriage.


Mary Bulmer-1939

This couple possibly did not have any children.


Maria Lloyd-1954

Looking on the IGI 2 years either side of 1845, there is only ONE MARIA LLOYD showing up, though there are plenty of Mary's or Mary Ann etc...
If this one is correct, then her father is Edward LLoyd, and Mother is Sarah.
P020941. She was christened at St Peter's, Liverpool, 18 sep 1844.


Charles Andrew Bulmer-1957

Charles' parents were living at 28 Bilton St, York at the time of his birth.
He is not mentioned on the 1881 census with his parents, will have to see if he was living with another relative, otherwie, he may have died young.
